Hi Vintage, What a nice ring! It does have that real gold look and quality about it. I did a google search, 'cartier gold dome ring' and clicked on the left side of page to images, and qiute a few rings in a similar style were made by Cartier.
Hello, I'm looking at a Cartier bracelet on auction. I noticed that for the serial number, the letters are not separated from the numbers (image.
The couple of websites I visited had a similar style, but they were in 18k gold. The prices ranged from $5000 to $10,000 dollars. If you are near or can get to a Cartier showroom, I would take it and possibly they can verify authenticity for you. Even if it costs a small fee, it would be worth your while. Maybe they can even give you something in writing if you ever decide to sell it.
Good for you if its the real deal.:-x.
By » Sep 3, 2099%of these are fake. This is probably a fake too. There are so many fakes out there cartier doesnt even offer authentication anymore. -seriously -they dont even bother. If you want a real one, buy it from the store. Anyone who had a real one could sell them on any real website for almost new prices, they will not ebay it for a grand starting and highest bidder goes.
Buying one at an auction is a great way to pay a lot of money for a 10 - 50$ replica. There are a lot of nice fakes out there. Dont waste your money if you are looking for real. By » Sep 3, 2018 The one benefit with ebay is that you can get it tested for gold once you get it and return it for full refund if it’s not gold. What I’m saying here is if you like the style and pay only a “gold price” then there’s no harm in taking a chance. Without full proper paperwork you can’t be sure it is real “Cartier” so you only want to pay a gold value price.
But obviously for real Cartier, expect to buy full price from Cartier or a small discount second hand if it comes with all paperwork and boxes. By » Sep 3, 2018 Good point Bron.
Getting it tested for gold content may guarantee it is or is not 18k,but they do make replicas of the more expensive ones in 18k and so it wont guarantee it is a 40k bracelet. You can pick up an 18k replica for under 6. The love line of bracelets have been so popular for so long you can get all kinds of replicas too.
It is like the vca stuff, unscruplous makers in countries that dont care about copyright laws will push out a 40k item for 4-6k becuase they can turn a profit. That unauthentic material can look pretty convincing.
Since the seller has a lot of feed back, ask for the purchase reciept and verify the purchase if you want the real deal. When someone spends 40k on something, they usually keep the original of EVERYTHING.
